Libraries are instrumental in bringing high-quality STEAM experiences to their communities. Representatives from NASA's Universe of Learning, The National Citizen and Community Science Library Network, and Leap into Science offer resources and opportunities that support STEAM programming at libraries. 

The STEAM Resources for Libraries webinar was hosted by NGCP on May 17, 2022. In this webinar recording, presenters share resources and opportunities specifically designed for libraries. 

Tim Rhue

Tim Rhue

Tim Rhue is the Principal Informal Education Specialist at the Space Telescope Science Institute where he develops products and works with museums, libraries, and other sites across the country to help people learn about our universe. His work ranges from designing one on one activities to developing interactive digital lessons for a national audience and from creating traditional exhibit panels to immersive virtual reality experiences. Tim serves as an advocate for accessibility and accountability and continues connecting education theory with practice to create engaging experiences that not only teach people content but inspire them to learn more.

Robin Salthouse

Robin Salthouse

Robin Salthouse is retired Adult Services Supervisor Librarian from the Maricopa County Library District in Arizona. She currently serves as a library liaison for The National Citizen and Community Science Library Network, led by SciStarter, Arizona State University and the National Girls Collaborative Project, which aims to support libraries across the country to gain the confidence, skills, and knowledge to engage their communities in citizen science. Robin specializes in developing resources for libraries to support libraries in becoming community hubs for citizen science.

Tara Cox

Tara Cox

Tara brings over 11 years of experience in museum and STEM education to her role as Assistant Director of Programs at the National Girls Collaborative Project, where she leads a wide range of national STEM initiatives. She is Co-Principal Investigator of the NSF-funded Leap into Science: Cultivating a National Network for Science and Literacy and leads the National Citizen and Community Science Library network with Arizona State University and SciStarter. Tara is passionate about growing and supporting STEM projects that strive to broaden participation of historically excluded audiences in STEM and she loves working with libraries to advance this work!
