This privacy statement covers the ngcproject.org website including all subdomains (collectively, the “Site”), as well as all services provided through the Site (collectively with the Site, the “Services”). Your use of any of the Services constitutes your acceptance of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. If you do not accept any aspect of this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, you should not use the Sites. Any ambiguity between the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use should be resolved in favor of the Terms of Use.

NGCP has created this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) to demonstrate our commitment to Provider and Visitor privacy. Privacy on the Sites and within Services delivered by NGCP to our users is of utmost importance to us. “Providersprovide Opportunities. “Partners” are Providers or Organizations across the country with similar goals as NGCP with which we network, share resources, and collaborate on projects. “Visitors” are individuals who view and the Site.

This Privacy Policy describes our information-gathering and dissemination practices. The Site only gathers and stores information that is required to perform the Services that we provide. By visiting the Site or using the Services, you represent yourself as a person of sufficient age who is able to consent to the use of your information as described below. Furthermore, you agree to the collection and use of information in the manner described below.

Information Gathered
NGCP does not rent or sell Personally Identifiable Information in any manner.

Personally Identifiable Information
NGCP Sites and Services use and gather data, some of which is defined as Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). PII is considered any information about an individual that can be used to recognize, identify or contact that individual. PII does not include most business contact information, or other publicly available information. Providers may register groups of users, such as employees of a company, in order for those users to participate in the Services.

NGC uses the web-hosted Neon CRM platform to securely deliver our Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) functionality including donations, registrations, and profile management. Data transmitted to and from their website is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. We chose their platform for the functionality they provide and their commitment to security and uptime.

If you choose to create an account on a NGCP Site, we will ask for certain information enabling the creation of that account, such as a username and password. If you make a donation to, or sign up to volunteer with an organization listed on a NGCP Site, we will ask for certain information enabling us to process, receive, and disburse that donation or track the volunteer activity. We will share certain personal information with the organization.

Log Data, Cookies, and Activity Tracking Technologies
NGCP collects certain information from visitors to the Sites and users of the Services, such as Internet addresses, browser types, referring domains, time stamps (time page accessed as well as time spent per web page), as well as the specific pages the visitor has requested. This information is logged for marketing purposes and to help diagnose technical problems and administer the Site and the Services in order to constantly improve the quality of the Services. We may also track and analyze non-identifying activity and aggregate usage-and-volume statistical information from visitors and users, and provide such information to third parties. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.

We, NGCP, and our affiliates, or website analytics or service providers use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts, to analyze trends, administer the website, tracking users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.

NGCP uses Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting to help us better understand our audience. If you do not want us to use this data, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/ to get the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We use cookies to remember users’ settings (e.g., language preference), for authentication. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our website, but your ability to use some features or areas of our website may be limited.

We use Local Storage, also known as HTML5, to store content information and preferences in order to provide users a better experience on our sites. We do not use HTML5 to display advertising based upon your web browsing activity. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing Local Storage/HTML5.

Social Media Widgets
Our website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button, and Widgets, such as the Share This button or interactive mini-programs that run on our website. These Features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing them.

Provider Collection and Use
Certain NGCP Services collect information under the direction of its Provider, in which case NGCP may have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. It is the responsibility of each Provider and Partner to notify its users that user data is shared with NGCP. NGCP will cooperate with its Partners, however, to help them provide notice to their users concerning the purpose for which personal information is collected. Neither NGCP nor the Site solicits the users of NGCP Partners on behalf of unrelated, third-party marketers.

We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service and to Partners. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by confidentiality agreements with the third parties, as well as by the service agreements with our Providers.

NGCP will retain personal data we collect, as well as personal data we collect and process on behalf of our Partners, for as long as needed to provide our Services. NGCP will retain and use this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Information Use/Opt-out
NGCP uses the information that we collect to set up the Services for users and to improve the Sites. We may also use the information to contact users and visitors to further discuss their interest in and use of the Sites and the Services. Whenever visitors or users submit requests for more information or services from us, they may opt out of entering certain fields. Users wishing to stop receiving information from the Sites may opt out of receiving notices by logging into the Site and using the account tools to manage settings, or may cancel their account.

We may also e-mail users information regarding updates to the Services or the Sites.

Stored Data
Users of the Services will be using the Services to store data. Such data may at times be viewed or accessed by NGCP only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue or suspected violation of the Terms of Use for the Site and the Services, or as may be required by law. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password. Except as provided in this Privacy Policy, NGCP will not review, share, distribute, print or reference any data stored by users on the Site or the Services.

Sharing of Information
NGCP may share aggregated demographic information with partners. This is not linked to any PII, personal information that can identify an individual person. NGCP may use a credit card processing company to bill users for Services, or third-party developers or consultants to perform specific duties such as Provider website integrations. These companies will not retain share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any purpose other than as needed to perform such services. From time to time we may provide information about users to NGCP’s subsidiaries, joint ventures, and in order to provide those users the Services. Each of these entities will comply with the policies described in this Privacy Policy. In addition, if the stock or assets of NGCP, its subsidiaries, its joint ventures or any combination of such are acquired by another entity, some or all of NGCP’s users’ and visitors’ personal information and hosted data may be provided to such successor. Please see our Notice of Changes section below.

Other than as expressly described in this Privacy Policy, NGCP will not share, sell, or rent a user’s or a visitor’s personally identifiable information or hosted data with anyone outside of NGCP, without such user’s or visitor’s prior permission or unless ordered by a court of law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, bankruptcy proceedings, court order, or legal process served on the Site.

Links to Other Sites
The Sites and the Services contains links to other sites. NGCP is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage users to be aware when they leave the Sites or the Services and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the Sites and the Services.

Security
NGCP takes every precaution to protect our users’ and visitors’ information and data against loss, misuse, and alteration. As a web-native application, our success will be predicated on the security of that information and data. We use standard industry practices to help prevent unauthorized use of, access to or alteration of visitor and user information and hosted data. These practices include the appropriate use of firewalls, SSL encryption, system redundancies, and co-location at a 24/7 secured, controlled environment. NGCP personnel with access to information gathered from visitors and users have been advised of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of such information and of using it only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, however, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our website, you can contact us at info@ngcproject.org.

Updating Personal Information
We encourage our visitors and users to update and edit their personal information and keep it current. Users can easily correct, delete, or update their contact information at any time through the Site by logging into your account and using accounts settings, features, and tools. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, you may do so in your user account settings, or you may contact us at info@ngcproject.org. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Notice of Changes
NGCP may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect visitor or user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on the Sites or in the Services notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post the notice, we will also email users who have opted to receive communications from us notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
