Elizabeth Chois

Elizabeth’s passion as an educator combines with her entrepreneurial spirit and desire to look outside of the box for new and different opportunities and challenges. She is adamant that students should learn how to solve problems by following their interests to new and different avenues. 

Elizabeth is a seasoned educator with 22 years of elementary school and Spanish education experience. She joined the YEI team in 2024 following 17 years as part of the University School faculty. Before her tenure at University School, she lived and worked in Cali, Colombia teaching at Colegio Bolivar, and in Dayton, Ohio teaching at The Dayton Academy. 

Elizabeth leads the development of educational curriculum, activities, workshops, and toolkits to build entrepreneurial skills and works with teachers to bring entrepreneurship into their classrooms and out-of-school programs. 

Elizabeth holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in French and Spanish from Miami University, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Dayton, and a Master of Arts in Spanish from Cleveland State University. Outside of the classroom, she is a triathlete who enjoys swimming, running, and cycling.

Lindly Fernandez

Lindly Fernandez is an accomplished and passionate educator whose efforts have positively impacted numerous non-profit organizations and underprivileged communities. After college, she helped teens develop professional interpersonal skills through on-the-job training and classroom support.  This experience offered opportunities to develop curriculum and work as a mentor for young entrepreneurs. Her passion for education and community development led to her current position as a program coordinator and certified trainer for VentureLab. She aims to empower, invest in, and promote growth in all those she works with.

Brian Weisfeld

Brian Weisfeld is a youth entrepreneurship advocate and author who has been building businesses his entire life. As a kid, he bought gummy bears and hired his friends to sell them. As a teen, he sorted baseball cards, babysat, and sold mixtapes. As an adult, he helped build well-known companies including IMAX Corporation and Coupons.com. Brian co-authored Penguin’s forthcoming You’re The Boss: A Kid’s Ultimate Guide to Starting Your Own Business, the first ever how-to-start-a-business book for kids from a Big Five publisher. Brian is the co-author of the Macmillan-published The Startup Squad book series and founder of The Startup Squad Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to teaching entrepreneurship to girls from underserved communities. Brian has spoken to thousands of kids and adults on three continents during his career, is a two time TEDx speaker, and was featured on Good Morning America for his work. Brian lives in Silicon Valley with his wife and two daughters.
