Lindsay Balfour is the Head of Education for Strawbees where she is responsible for creating a strategic vision based on educational pedagogy for Strawbees Classroom, a learning platform for teachers and students. She has authored over 40 visually inclusive resources for children and informative guides for educators globally. As an educator, she has facilitated engaging K-12 hands-on learning experiences at museums, libraries, and makerspaces for over 8 years. Her fondness for education started at the Children's Creativity Museum where she demystified STEAM learning through daily workshops using tools and technologies to teach creativity and collaboration. She is passionate about priming environments for meaningful making, by creating personal learning experiences for youth to engage in while focusing on girl-focused programs targeting ages 8-12.

Angi Chau is an educator, maker, engineer, computer scientist, and creative coding enthusiast. She is constantly thinking about how to design and create learning spaces that celebrate technology, yet allow everyone, especially those who have traditionally been underrepresented in fields like engineering and CS, to feel a sense of belonging. Currently, she is the Director of the Innovation Lab program at The Nueva School and teaches required computer science classes in the middle school. Previously, she directed the makerspace program, taught engineering, and advised the robotics team at Castilleja School, an all-girls independent school for grades 6-12 in Palo Alto. She frequently facilitates workshops for educators in the realm of design thinking and maker educatio

Sherry Huss is Co-founder of Maker Faire and a major advocate of “all things maker” in the global community. A former Vice President of Maker Media, her vision and passion have helped spark the maker movement and she has been instrumental in growing the Make: brand within the maker ecosystem. Sherry has recently joined The Freeman Company team as Innovator-in-Residence and is working on creating community and building tribes inside and outside the company. She is one of the founders of Decameron Row and is co-founder and Maker-in-Chief of the recently launched Maker Music Festival and Campus (the largest gathering of makers from around the world).

Dorothy Jones-Davis is the founding Executive Director of Nation of Makers, a non-profit whose mission is to support America’s maker organizations through advocacy, resource sharing, and the building of community within the maker movement and beyond. In this role, she is deeply interested in creating connections between a diversity of makers, enabling them to use their collective skills to harness solutions for the world’s challenges – grand and small. Dorothy received her B.A. in Psychobiology from Wellesley College, and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. She has previously held roles at the National Science Foundation, the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, and the University of California, San Francisco.

Dora Medrano Ramos is the Learning Events Manager at Maker Ed. She develops and facilitates learning experiences that support educators to integrate liberatory, maker-centered learning into their practice. She cares about healing math anxiety, making learning more culturally relevant, and redefining who gets to be called a “maker” and what is considered “making.” Dora graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics in Quantum Mechanics and a minor in Science & Math Education.

Lisa Regalla, PhD, is the CEO of Regallium Consulting, LLC and works with organizations to foster creative, accessible, and STEM-inspired learning environments for children and familiies. Lisa was the project director for Makers in the Library supporting public libraries to build community-driven makerspaces on any budget. Previously, she was the Director of STEM Learning & Innovation at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, where she created the Reimagining School Readiness toolkit and the Try It Truck, inspiring young children to embrace early engineering. She was also the former Deputy Director of Maker Ed and developed content and a national outreach program for the SciGirls children’s television series at Twin Cities Public Television. Lisa received a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Theater before earning her PhD in Chemistry.
