On October 24, 2026, NGCP and the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) co-hosted STEM Role Models for Transformative Change: MacArthur Fellows Dialogues, a youth-centered event that took place at NYSCI. During this event, high school-aged youth from the greater New York City area gathered at NYSCI to hear from MacArthur Fellows Nicola Dell, Kristina Douglass, and Martha Muñoz through a panel discussion moderated by members of NGCP’s Youth Advisory Board.

The Fellows shared stories about their personal and professional journeys, including early experiences, obstacles they overcame, and interests outside of work, and gave the attendees authentic opportunities to see themselves reflected in STEM careers.

The event was supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
