Miranda Bogen
Miranda Bogen is the founding director of the AI Governance Lab at the Center for Democracy & Technology. Building on CDT’s decades of leadership fighting to advance civil rights and civil liberties in the digital age, the Lab provides public interest expertise in rapidly developing policy and technical conversations around artificial intelligence, advancing the interests of individuals whose lives and rights are impacted by AI. An AI policy expert and responsible AI practitioner, Miranda has led work at the intersection of policy and AI fairness and governance in senior roles in industry and civil society. She served as co-chair of the Fairness, Transparency, and Accountability Working Group at the Partnership on AI, conducted foundational research at the intersection of machine learning and civil rights at Upturn, and most recently guided strategy and implementation of responsible AI practices at Meta
Parul Kalve
Parul is a passionate data & AI Executive Leader and has been a trusted partner for organizations to advance their data transformation journeys. She has worked across diverse industries -Finance, Telecom, Insurance, Local Government and Oil & Gas and excelled in leading change through innovation with ethical utilization of data for these large to mid-size organizations and startups as well. Currently, she is a CEO of a Stealth startup. Her most recent role has been with Servus Credit Union, one of Canada’s largest credit unions as a VP of Data Governance, Technology and Strategy. During her tenure, she helped implement AI solutions, modern day analytics and AI platforms, and data & AI Governance to accelerate Servus’s digital and growth aspirations.
Her strong passion for data and people has motivated her to focus a large portion of her career on Data Management and Governance.
Parul has a Masters degree in MIS (from US) and certifications in Data Management & Governance (CDMP), a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication, and many certifications in Project Management, Business Analysis, Data Analysis and Insurance.
Parul is passionate about the transformative potential of data & AI and actively engages in industry as a speaker, instructor and advisor to share insights and experiences in data and AI. She is committed to advancing diversity and women’s leadership and have been mentoring and coaching women across Canada for many years. Her motto is to leverage data to make a tangible impact, simplifying lives by expediting everyday decision-making and catalyzing actionable change.
Lalitha Krishnamoorthy
Dr. Lalitha Krishnamoorthy co-founded and served as CEO of OpenTeams Global, an organization that helps clients and business partners integrate open-source data and AI methodologies to improve their business results. Prior to that, she served as the director of IBM Digital Commerce, SaaS, and Data Platforms. Lalitha focuses on business transformation, global market expansion, and artificial intelligence neural networks.
As Stantec’s artificial intelligence and digital lead, Lalitha shapes and leads Stantec’s AI and digital maturity. She partners with teams to lead AI strategy, infuse AI into Stantec’s technology, and standardize Stantec’s digital platform and operating model across the entire business.
Lalitha holds a doctorate in neuro-symbolic artificial intelligence, holds several invention patents, is a regular speaker at industry conferences, is on the board of directors for many startups, and is a strong advocate for equity, diversity, inclusion in technology.
When she isn’t fostering collaboration within the global tech community or facilitating sustainable funding, recognition, and inclusivity, Lalitha puts her energy towards motivating and supporting women and girls to pursue and thrive in careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). She serves on the Champions board for the Texas Girls Collaborative Project, a statewide network of advocates and educators.
