NGCP partnered with the California Academy of Sciences on the Science Action Club (SAC) project, a nationwide STEM program for middle school youth in out-of-school time. Through games, projects, and hands-on activities, youth investigated nature, documented their discoveries, connected with scientists, and designed strategies to protect our planet. Throughout this 2-year SAC partnership, the NGCP and California Academy of Sciences collaboration supported:
- 29 trainers working to instruct and coach educators from Alaska to New York,
- 580+ clubs enrolled across 19 states, and
- Thousands of students engaged with hands-on science learning.
By tapping into NGCP's expansive network of trainers and educators, SAC delivered meaningful science learning experiences into the hands of youth across the country.
