The National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) has partnered with Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute to expand access to NoRILLA, an award-winning educational technology platform that enhances STEM learning for youth.

NoRILLA, short for Novel Research-Based Intelligent Lifelong Learning Apparatus, was recently named a winner in the global Tools Competition, earning recognition in the Transform category for its potential to significantly impact K–12 education. The competition received more than 1,400 submissions from organizations around the world developing innovative learning tools.

The NoRILLA platform combines hands-on experiments with AI-powered mixed reality to provide learners with real-time, personalized guidance as they investigate STEM concepts. Developed through years of research, the system is designed to build critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills while engaging youth in active exploration and discovery.

Through this new partnership, NGCP will leverage our national network to expand access to NoRILLA across informal and formal learning environments. NGCP’s role will focus on connecting educators, programs, and communities to the platform, supporting broader adoption and increasing opportunities for youth to engage in high-quality STEM learning experiences.

This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing innovative approaches that inspire and equip youth to explore STEM pathways. By working alongside leading research institutions, we continue to help scale solutions that foster curiosity, build skills, and open doors to future opportunities in STEM.
