Research has shown that girls who interact with female role models are more likely to develop and maintain an interest in STEM.  Bringing STEM to life is an important step in getting all students interested in STEM careers and excited about their futures.  Participants will learn the “Recipe for Role Model Success” (Techbridge’s Role Models Matter Curriculum) and fabulous in-person and online resources to engage STEM role models in the classroom and beyond.

Don’t miss out on this hands-on, interactive experience that will help you and others better engage girls (and all students) in STEM!  Thanks to the Governor’s Commission for Women (http://governor.state.tx.us/women/) for supporting TxGCP’s Role Models Matter dissemination across Texas.

This workshop will be held in HCDE’s Science Center, Located at 805 Reid (entrance off Caplin Street) located next to HCDE's main building at 6300 Irvington.  Irvington is the only exit off North Loop 610 between I-45 and the Hardy Toll Road.  HCDE is located one block north of 610.
