TECHNOLOchicas is a national initiative of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) NCWIT Logo
and Televisa Foundation designed to raise awareness among young Latinas and their families about opportunities and careers in technology.
Join NGCP as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15, 2021) with TECHNOLOchicas. With TECHNOLOchicas, we will learn about opportunities and resources to support and enhance STEM education for Hispanic and Latina women and girls.

Hispanic and Latinas’ participation in STEM and computing disciplines not only improves the economic outlook of the Hispanic community, but their participation also impacts the U.S. society, workforce, and economy as a whole by improving companies’ bottom lines, expanding the qualified employee pool, promoting equality, reflecting the customer base, and enhancing innovation through distinct perspectives (https://technolochicas.org/about). TECHNOLOchicas logo

Currently, Latinx, Black, and Indigenous women represent less than 10% of women in the STEM workforce (State of Girls and Women in STEM, National Girls Collaborative 2021), but we can create positive change by supporting programs whose work specifically enhances and uplifts girls and women in STEM. In this webinar, we uplift a program doing just that!
