Saturday, April 25, 2015, Project Scientist (PS) will host a professional development workshop for all 2015 PS Teaching Fellow applicants, Camp counselors, Club facilitators, and 2015 PS Academy staff, which will serve to impact teacher practice across the Pasadena Unified School district area in the year 2015. Event attendee’s include 30 Pasadena Unified School District's ( PUSD) teachers, local women scientist, PUSD leadership, and Project Scientist Academy girls.

Facilitated by SciGirls, one of Project Scientist’s esteemed partners, this training program will equip teachers with the latest research-proven methods for providing gender equitable opportunities in education. Teachers will have an opportunity to experience integrated inquiry-based science instruction while conducting hands-on STEM activities with PS alumnae students. With a SciGirls certificate and access to new educational resources sponsored by SciGirls, Caltech University, and Project Scientist, teachers will leave this training inspired and confident in their ability to deliver hands-on, educational activities that put a creative twist on teaching STEM.
