A critical first step for girls to succeed in STEM careers is to have positive role models who will inspire, influence and encourage them.  The Techbridge Role Models Matter curriculum is recognized as a premier program for training adults who interact with  girls to be able to effectively motivate, inspire and interact with the girls. ASTEC will hold a one day in Tucson and one day in Phoenix to share this interactive workshop to train teachers, STEM professionals, girl scout leaders and other adults who interact with girls. Facilitators will conduct the Techbridge "Role Models Matter" program and facilitate several hands-on activities from the Techbridge curriculum. This forum is open to all educators and formal and informal STEM professionals.
