Pocahontas County Libraries and the Green Bank Observatory are pleased to offer training in the Leap into Science Balance Workshops. Leap into Science is a national program that integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books, designed for children ages 3-10 and their families!

This free training will take place at the Green Bank Observatory Science Center on Tuesday, May 8th, from 10:00am-3:00pm, lunch provided.

Your organization will leave the training with materials to do trainings for 60 children along with the knowledge to lead the trainings. Join us in being part of this national coalition to get kids excited about science and literacy through hands-on learning!

These activities are designed for community settings, like libraries, museums, and out-of-school time programs. Leap into Science is a nationwide program developed by The Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia, PA. The West Virginia partners include the Pocahontas County Libraries, the Green Bank Observatory, WVU Extension Services, and the Morgantown Public Library System.
