The IF/THEN® Collection has hundreds of free photos, videos, and activities highlighting 150+ inspiring female STEM professionals. Join us as we showcase these resources and premiere a new portal in the Collection: Equity and Inclusion Assets for Afterschool and Summer Programs. The assets in this portal align with the Equity and Inclusion Framework, developed by NGCP for the Million Girls Moonshot, and relate to key strategies for increasing equity and inclusion in afterschool STEM, such as addressing STEM stereotypes, making STEM personally relevant, implementing engineering mindset practices, and engaging in career exploration.

The portal includes four new activities that explore important topics related to gender equity in STEM. All activities connect to and feature resources from the IF/THEN® Collection and are specifically designed with afterschool and informal educators in mind. The activities were created in collaboration with Lisa Regalla from Regallium Consulting and the National Girls Collaborative Project with feedback provided by the afterschool community.

Topics covered in the activities include lack of representation in STEM media, exploration of STEM career paths, the importance of representation in problem-solving and design, and reflections on expansive identities and qualities that can contribute to a STEM mindset and STEM success.

Please join us to learn more about these activities, and other resources within the IF/THEN® Collection, to engage youth in important topics and conversations related to gender equity, representation, and identity in STEM.
