Parents, teachers, guidance counselors and other adults who support girls in STEM education are invited to attend the GRITS Forum at the MTSU EYH. GRITS Leadership Team members will introduce the adults to the National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP) and to its Tennessee collaborative, Girls Raised in Tennessee Science (GRITS). Adults will learn about the Program Directory, Mini-Grants and other resources available through GRITS and NGCP. In addition, a panel discussion composed of STEM administrators from Columbia State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University as well as the Assistant Director of the MTSU Financial Aid office will answer questions on how to prepare your daughter for higher education.

Adults will also hear the keynote speaker, Jennifer Hill of Nissan North American and a former professional cheerleader, earned her Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee State University. Adults will also participate in a hands-on STEM workshop. Lunch and materials are provided. Adults can order an EYH conference t-shirt for an additional $15.00 by sending the name and desired size to eyh@mtsu.edu.
