Looking for ways to make math fun? CryptoClub will help you engage young people (4th--9th grade) in activities that teach code encryption and decryption using a variety of math-based ciphers. This session will introduce educators to various ciphers and codes throughout history, and prepare them to lead a 12-20 session CryptoClub. Participants will receive a facilitator manual, and booklets for 10 students. In addition, every attendee will be introduced to the CryptoClub Virtual Learning Community, a national group of educators who share successes, challenges, and tips to implement CryptoClub.

CryptoClub training is for both formal and informal educators, and is ideal in an afterschool, summer, expanded learning, or other informal setting. Registration cost includes two (2) people per site. If you intend to run mutliple sites, you may need to purchase additional materials.

CryptoClub in Rochester is brought to you through the National Girls Collaborative Project, the New York STEAM Girl's Collaborative, the New York State Network for Youth Success, and the Greater Rochester After-School Alliance.
