ASSET STEM Education, in cooperation with the PA STEM Girls Collaborative Project will be holding a full-day Role Models Matter Training Forum on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 from 10 AM to 4 PM at the ASSET STEM Education Office.

The Role Models Matter Project, funded by the National Science Foundation, is a collaborative effort between Techbridge, the Society of Women Engineers, the National Girls Collaborative Project and Girl Scout Councils to bring resources to role models and girl serving organizations.  The goal of the project is to increase girls’ interest in STEM by creating resources to train STEM professionals to interact with girls in a meaningful way.

If you answer 'yes' to any of the following questions, you should consider attending this training.

  • Are you a STEM professional interested in becoming a role model? (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
  • Are you a teacher, guidance counselor, organization leader, etc. interested in learning how to increase and improve the quality of your organization’s outreach to girls in STEM?
  • Would you like the opportunity to take part in role model training and receive promising practices and resources?

**IMPORTANT: The ASSET office is in the River Park Commons building, but the entrance is on 24th Street (visitors will not be able to access the office from the main entrance).

There is good signage above the entryway, so the location is pretty apparent.  The reception area is right inside the entrance.

PARKING: Directions and a Parking Pass are available, as attachments below.
