Sruthi M.

Being a very curious kid from a very young age, Sruthi put a centipede in her mouth, to see what it would taste like (she was one year old at the time). Now, she’s learned to harness that curiosity by expanding her knowledge in STEM, rather than putting unsuspecting insects in her mouth.

Her interest in science and programming from a young age, encouraged her to participate in many science competitions including the ProjectCSGIRLS competition of 2017. Sruthi was one of the three grand prize winners, and her experience inspired her to become a ProjectCSGIRLS ambassador, so she could give other girls the same experience and get them interested in computer science. She also works with other nonprofits to bring more girls into STEM, as a student ambassador for Technovation.

Sruthi also teaches robotics and coding, to spark more interest in STEM in elementary and middle school girls and boys. When she’s not exploring the fascinating fields of STEM, Sruthi is probably playing basketball, singing, listening to hip- hop, or being crazy with her friends. She’s very excited to be a part of the Programs team this year and can’t wait to start helping girls become interested in computer science!
