NGCP will be at the virtual National Summit for Educational Equity (April 26-28, 2022). We will be leading a workshop about our Brite initiative and its culturally responsive and gender equitable role model experience. We hope to see you there!

Brite Women, Brite Girls: Creating Meaningful STEM Role Model Experiences
Tuesday, April 26 (1:00–2:00 PM Pacific Time)
During this interactive session, participants will learn: 1) Why STEM is an equity issue, and how incorporating diverse STEM role models into learning can increase youth’s interest, identification, and sense of belonging with STEM, 2) How to  research and connect with diverse role models using key NGCP resources, and 3) How NGCP implemented a culturally responsive and gender equitable role model experience during the Brite Program. Participants will also be guided through an interactive example of culturally responsive and gender equitable role model training used in the planning of the Brite Program.
